 The frameless pReference® system achieves rigid fixation during each fraction utilizing an AccuForm™ custom-formed neck support and a thermoplastic cast. An optional Trident™ carbon fiber arch provides rotation stability with a custom-formed nasal interface. |
The pReference small field collimators produce a spherical dose distribution, suitable for many targets. In addition, pReference offers the STRIP technique (Stereotactic Radiotherapy with Irregular Ports). A series of blocks is created with a beam’s eye view of the target – each one cast to high tolerances to match the exact shape of the tumor from different angles. Multiple stationary fields, usually six, are used to ensure extremely conformal dose distributions.
