Virtual Water is a fresh alternative to water tanks and other water-equivalent materials. This water-equivalent phantom material eliminates mass and maintains your ability to perform routine quality control checks of your linear accelerator. Whether using electron or photon beams, Virtual Water meets your needs for every application.
Unlike other water-equivalents, Virtual Water is free of contaminants and air. The electron density and homogeneity is guaranteed. Each production run of Virtual Water is tested in an independent calibration lab and certified to be within 0.5% of water at photon energies.
Virtual Water is available in 20 x 20 cm, 30 x 30 cm, and 40 x 40 cm sizes, and in thicknesses that range from 0.2 to 6.0 cm. Cavities are available in thicknesses of 2.0 cm or greater to accommodate many commercially-available farmer-type or parallel plate ionization chambers.
Virtual Water’s rigid design eliminates the potential for chamber damage. This unique phantom material will not stick together when stacked or stored. Virtual Water’s performance is not affected by changes in humidity or ambient temperature.
Virtual Water eliminates charge buildup. The material does not exhibit charge storage effects, seen in common water-equivalent materials.
