Bolus Print

Bolx-I™ and Bolx-II™ Tissue-Equivalent Buildup Material
These bolus sheets are made from a solid, homogeneous, tissue-equivalent gel with a density of 1.03 g/cc. It will not sag, deform or run.

Bolx-I is encased in a tough layer of thin plastic “skin.” Bolx-II is “skinless” or sticky for greater conformity to steep body contours. Both types of bolus sheets are closely controlled for uniformity of thickness, electron density, and homogeneity. Bolx sheets can be cut with a scissors to any desired shape, and layered to obtain the desired bolus effect.

Bolx is the ideal choice for radiation therapy applications above 1MV, where additional tissue-equivalent thickness is required. It can also be used as a phantom material due to its homogeneous composition and uniform thickness. Bolx bolus is very cost-effective when compared to other types of tissue-equivalent phantom materials.

Bolx-I is available in convenient sizes and thicknesses. Bolx-II is available in 30 x 30 cm sheets.
