Two significant intracavitary electron therapy problems are solved by this patented system.
Most importantly, patient separation is maintained from the treatment machine. This provides clear safety advantages, and allows easy, direct treatment area viewing and photography at any time during the procedure.
Secondly, dose uniformity in the field (flatness) is adjusted by careful aperture plate definition.
Thorough attention to practical application is reflected in design and construction. Cone sets and ancillary apparatus are color-coded, and are contained within a color-coded aluminum box that facilitates autoclaving.
Intra-oral, trans-rectal, trans-vaginal, and intra-operative radiotherapy cones are available.
Standard diameters include 19, 25, 32, 38, 45, 51, 57, 64, 70, 76, 95, and 102 mm. Custom sizes are available.
