Accuracy
Unlike other systems that rely on only a standard mask to meet the stringent demands of all their treatment options, the Type-S system gives clinicians the variety they need to choose the right mask for each patient’s specific treatment needs. Only the Type-S system accommodates standard head-only masks for conventional treatments, or a full head, neck, and shoulder masks for shoulder and superclav capture, or the patent pending IMRT Reinforced™ masks for advanced treatments.

Versatility
The Type-S head, neck, and shoulder fixation system is versatile enough to integrate an array of positioning options, each designed to allow radiotherapy clinicians the ability to modify it’s use for precise, patient-specific setups. From one foundation, the Type-S can integrate all of the following options:

Standard, Disposable Type-S™ Thermoplastic Masks
Head-only or Head, Neck, and Shoulder Thermoplastics provide clinicians with a wide variety of choices to meet the exacting needs of today’s advanced treatments. Standard disposable Type-S thermoplastic material is one of the industry’s most popular choices. The standard mask is available in various sizes and thicknesses, in reloadable or disposable styles.

Neck Relief Thermoplastic Masks
A larger hole pattern is placed around the neck area of this specialty thermoplastic to provide “windowing” without compromising the integrity of the cast. Neck Relief thermoplastic is available in several IMRT Reinforced styles in a reloadable or disposable frame.
