For particular treatment areas. The Mastercouch provides more radiation-friendly treatment options. Standard couchtops often contain metal or less efficient carbon fiber parts which attenuate the beam and cause scatter in the region of interest. The Mastercouch provides a system to move these parts out of the treatment region.

The modular Mastercouch system consists of a base to replace the existing treatment couch and is extended with a treatment module. This module extends the treatment field to provide a treatment field that is free from metal components. In addition, positioning accessories can be attached to the indexed positioning pivots mounted along both sides of the couch.

Module options include: a standard module, head & neck modules for either the Type-S^TM or Posifix® systems, stereotactic treatment module and the new O-module.
