Indexed Patient Positioning Systems™ |
|
|
IPPS™ indexing technology allows you to quickly and accurately locate and lock down a patient fixation device in precisely the same location - "square" with the couchtop - from imaging through treatment, and from treatment to treatment.
Every IPPS system begins with an indexed couchtop or overlay. These tops, constructed of rigid carbon fiber, feature an array of indexing points each spaced an identical 14 cm apart.
A Lok-Bar™ locks down to any of the multiple indexing points running longitudinally along the edges of the IPPS couchtop or overlay. The Lok-Bar features a patented "two-pin" design that interfaces with the two holes on MEDTEC's patient positioning and fixation accessories. This innovative system allows the positioning devices to transfer accurately between couchtops or overlays and quickly locks into the same location from imaging through treatment.
Because couchtops and overlays vary in width and style, the indexing Lok-Bar remains with a specific CT, PET, simulator, or treatment table in your department.
IPPS carbon fiber couchtops are designed to be inserted into your existing linac, PET/CT, CT, or simulator couchtop support structure.
IPPS carbon fiber couchtops are designed to replace your existing linac or simulator couchtop and couchtop support structure.
