CT Couchtops/Overlays Print
MEDTEC’s CT overlays feature flat-panel table inserts that securely lock into a CT cradle, providing a surface consistent with your treatment couch for accurate, reproducible patient positioning from imaging to treatment.

Made of carbon fiber with a foam core, this series of CT inserts features IPPS™ patient indexing. Each longitudinal edge of the insert has a series of hemispheres or notches that accept a MEDTEC indexing Lok-Bar. The Lok-Bar utilizes the patented “two-pin” system to accommodate MEDTEC’s comprehensive line of patient fixation accessories. The notch locations have the same 14 cm spacing as the IPPS linac or simulator couchtops.

The CT inserts are both lightweight and durable, making them easy to remove or reinsert for non-dedicated CT units. The attachment mechanics ensure that once the top is reinserted on the cradle, it will be level and stable throughout the imaging process. Integral aluminum wire fiducials provide a non-symmetric artifact-free reference to determine CT data orientation in the treatment planning system (with the exception of a few couchtops). The fiducials are divergent as well, to determine slice position/sequence within the data set.


 
Foot Extension, MT-IL3006-001

A simple foot extension is available to maximize flexibility for feet first scans. The extension allows the patient’s feet to extend up to 36 cm off the end of the table. The Foot Extension is designed exclusively for feet-first applications and is not suitable for use as a head extension.



CT Overlay Stand


The MEDTEC overlay stand is ideal for shared CT rooms, where space is at a premium. The overlay stand creates a fast and effective way to store and protect your overlay top between uses. The base and strap-plate easily mounts to the wall, allowing for quick access and out-of the-way storage. Upper straps secure the top between use.
