Solid HipFix Thermoplastic, MT-HF-1822S
The HipFix hip and pelvis fixation system utilizes a single sheet of solid, perforated, or IMRT Reinforced Thermoplastic™ over the entire abdomen and pelvis region. The versatile system accommodates both prone and supine patient setups. Two rigid handles offer control of the thermoplastic, which is softened in warm water and becomes moldable to the patient’s unique contours. The thermoplastic hardens to form a rigid custom mold for accurate repositioning from simulation through the entire course of treatment.
The HipFix system provides the immobilization necessary to deliver IGRT, accompanied with the accuracy required for IMRT.
The HipFix board features a cutout treatment window. It can be placed directly on the couch, or on a bellyboard if small bowel displacement is desired in the prone position. A Vac-Lok™ prostate cushion or RediFoamTM cradle can be integrated to the HipFix for added comfort, support, and repositioning accuracy.
